I am a active person, and Border Collies are active, working breed dog and need a heap of exercise if if they don't get enough exercise they can turn into bad dogs that will be so bored they will chew everything, dig under fences, and everything a dog does when it gets bored.
They are smart, and if you don't give them something to do, they will try and find other things that you don't want them to do. So that is way it is important to have time for you Border Collie to train it.
Easy to train, well that is if you train them the right way, and using the right method they will turn into wonderful dogs.
Loving, if you give your time and love to training them, in return they will give you all the love, and joy they possibly can.
