Bonnie the Incredible Frisbee Dog!

Well I haven't posted anything for awhile, so I thought I would just post something now.

Well over the past week or so I have been teaching Bonnie to catch a Frisbee. Well she used to not even like toys, but now she can catch a Frisbee! She is still learning it and she hasn't fully learnt it yet. But she is getting the hang of it!

It's been a looong time...

well what to say?? I know I haven't posted anything in a looong time. Well Bonnie has learnt some new tricks: Say Your Prayers, I know one of the most simplest tricks and she didn't even know it!, open door, close door, and put garbage away. Anyway, what else to say?? She is doing great! She is turning 8 years old on the 10th of May!! Wow, she's getting older!!!!! She is actually starting to get quite lazy and the only time she gets up and going is when we train.

She started to get quite overweight, so I changed her diet. I give her a super premium dry food, veggies and meat, and got more healthy treats for training. It seems to have worked and she has started to loose weight little by little. But I also need to exercise her more. She seems to be lazy, so I guess she's coping me! ;P Anyway,

Agility Tomorrow :D

Well Agility Classes ARE tomorrow :) We are really excited!! We can't wait. I ran out of treats for training Bonnie, so I have to go to the store to buy more. Bonnie goes through them like water! lol! We have to go for our long afternoon walk soon. It is a couple of kms long, so she can run all those treats out of her :P Well that is actually true, if I don't give her her afternoon walk she gets fat! Well who wouldn't if they get as many treats as Bonnie? Well I guess she has to work to get them, but still!

There is this little well water hole I will call it, at the end of walk, then we turn around and come back. Well at the end, without telling her to, Bonnie jumps straight in! It is pretty deep. And then Jemma comes trotting along acting as if yea this water hole isn't even that deep, watch me ready? Stop looking at Bonnie and look at me will you? Plop! Where's Jemma gone??? Then the head of this drowned rat pops up! Oh, is that you is it Jemma?? lol!! She looked hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing. And Bonnie was sitting there looking at here like, Yea, it isn't that deep is it?? lol! They are both so funny. What would I do with out them?? hmmm....Can't even imagine life without Bonnie right by my side. Oh and not to mention Jemma :P....

No Agility Tonight :(

So Agility was canceled tonight. :( I am so upset. I was so looking forward to it and now we couldn't even go. I just wish the rain would have gone away. I REALLY hope there is agility next week. Anyway we'll see. We just gotta keep doing what we are doing for another week.

New Tricks learn't today!!!

Bonnie had such a good day for learning today. I decided to teach Bonnie to open and close her Crate herself. In about an hour I taught her to put her mouth on the toy while it wasn't tied to the crate, and also to open and close the crate by herself!!! I am SO happy. She has done SO well I think! I also finished teaching her the trick Blow Bubbles. I started teaching it to her quite a few weeks ago, then I started to train her to do Agility and forgot all about tricks! Well nearly :) Now she knows it fully!! :) I am so happy. I started to use the clicker ALOT more now, and that has helped HEAPS. Have a look at both of these videos to see her new tricks!!

We have Agility Classes on Tuesday if it doesn't rain... The weather is horrible here right now. Cold, Cloudy and Rainy. :( I just hope it doesn't rain on Tuesday other wise no Agility :( We will let you guys know if we go or not. Hopefully we can :)

Agility...

We have decided to start Agility classes. We start them on Tuesday next week. I am so excited!! The other day we were training Agility in the backyard. Bonnie has improved so much since we started Agility in the backyard. Her weave poles are getting faster, and she is responding to me better than she used to. Our bond has grown even more, the more time I spend with her the more our bond grows. I am so proud of her! I now see how smart, loyal, and willing to please she actually is. She looks up at me more now to see what I want her to do rather than just do what I tell her to do without even looking at me. In those eyes you can see everything. Loyalty, Smartness, and love, not just normal love, words can't explain it. She is my world and I love her to death.

When Life actually started for Bonnie

6 months ago is when life actually started for Bonnie. It was when I began to understand her more, and know what she was thinking and wanting. It was when I started training her

, and knowing how much she could actually learn. It was when I started to spend more time with her, and realize her needs. It was when we learned to love each other more. It was when our special bond together was just beginning.

When I look back I realized things Bonnie had missed out on as she was growing up, and how much more I know now than I knew back when she was a puppy. But as you go thro

ugh life you learn new things. And both me and Bonnie have learnt new things about each other everyday. We now understand each other more.

I have taught Bonnie many things, but she also has taught me many things.

Now I realize there are so many things I love about Bonnie.

I love how every time I come home she is there to see me.

I love the way she looks at me when I am training her and trying her very hardest to please me.

I love how when I am upset she is always there to make sure I am okay.

I love how when she is herding, or stalking something as a typical border collie,

she has stares at it with the cutest face!

I love heaps of things about Bonnie, too many to name.

Bonnie will be 8 on the 1st of May this year.

She is my heart dog, my companion, and most importantly my Best Friend.

If it wasn't for her I don't know where I would be.
